Jungle Immersion & Bat Cave Expedition
Unveil the Mysteries of Bocas del Toro: Explore the Hidden Heart of Nature
Jungle Immersion & Bat Cave Expedition
The Bahia Honda River remains so hidden that only Natives and locals can locate it among the mangroves. Enveloped by vines cascading from towering trees, the stunning scenery transports you to an ancient rainforest.
While hiking in the Caribbean jungle, you will be awed by the wonders that Nature only shows to a select few. The views along the river are particularly enchanting. While scanning the treetops, you are likely to spot sloths and other animals.
Your journey will take you to a plantation deep in the forest. You will meet the owners, who will guide you to the cave, now home to five different species of bats. Along the path to the bat cave, you will encounter cacao plants and, if you are lucky, Bocas del Toro’s famous red frogs and wild capuchin monkeys.
After a 30-minute walk inside the cave, you will reach a natural freshwater pool that is deep enough for a refreshing jump from a large rock.
