Jungle Immersion & Bat Cave Expedition

The Bahia Honda River remains so hidden that only Natives and locals can locate it among the mangrove trees. Enveloped by vines cascading from towering trees, the scenery transports you into an ancient jungle.

The views along the river are enchanting. While scanning the treetops, you may even spot sloths.

Your journey takes you to a plantation where the owners guide you to the cave, now home to five different species of bats. Along the path to the bat caves, you’ll encounter cacao plants and, if lucky, Bocas’ famous red frogs or wild capuchin monkeys.

After approximately 30 minutes inside the cave, you’ll reach a freshwater natural pool deep enough for a refreshing jump from a large rock.
