Escape to a deserted island for unparalleled relaxation.
Relax & Swim at Cayo Zapatilla Island
Just a 15-minute boat ride from Urraca’s Eco Resort, these two prominent islands, unmistakable on the horizon (they are the two big islands you can spot in front of you), mark the gateway to one of the region’s most stunning destinations. In our opinion, it’s where you’ll find the most breathtaking beaches in the area.
Welcome to Cayo Zapatilla, nestled within the Bastimentos National Marine Park—the first of its kind in Panama. This marine sanctuary boasts multiple untouched beaches, a haven that still remains relatively undiscovered. Of particular significance are the two islands, vital nesting grounds for the critically endangered Hawksbill sea turtles.
With pristine white sands, crystal-clear waters, and a traversable jungle trail, Zapatilla is the closest thing to paradise you will find in Bocas del Toro, eagerly awaiting your exploration (remember your sneakers!).
